Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence. They are seeking a Business Development Associate Account Manager to support the identification and growth of new business for the DMHS Sector Team, providing strategic and analytical support across key growth functions.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities
  • Partner with growth leadership to provide operational and analytical support across the business development lifecycle
  • Analyze and interpret competitor budget obligations, funding profiles, and positioning strategies to inform capture efforts
  • Research customer programs, historical spend, and budget justifications to identify strategic opportunities
  • Provide insight and recommendations based on market, financial, and operational data to support strategic decision-making
  • Support proposal teams with inputs for pricing, past performance, and program intelligence
  • Collaborate closely with capture managers, business development leads, and delivery teams to align capture strategies with organizational goals
  • Contribute to long-range growth planning, including pipeline management, investment planning, and opportunity assessments
  • Maintain awareness of key government contracting trends, vehicles, and customer priorities

Skills

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Business Administration, Business Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience supporting business operations, capture, or growth in a government contracting environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Working knowledge of the federal contract lifecycle and government acquisition processes
  • Experience using data visualization tools, such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with federal budget documents (e.g., President's Budget, Congressional Justification Books)
  • Experience supporting strategic planning or pipeline development in a federal contracting environment
  • Knowledge of industry tools and platforms (GovWin, FPDS, SAM.gov, etc.)
