They are seeking to hire an Architectural Designer to join their Mission Critical practice, focusing on performance-driven, highly complex facilities for major technology clients. The role involves assisting in the preparation of construction documents, production of presentation materials, and contributing to cost estimation processes.
Responsibilities
- Assists Project Architect in the preparation of construction documents and specifications using computer assisted design software and equipment
- Assists in the preparation and production of presentation materials, models and material boards
- Assists in the preparation and production of various studies and reports
- Maintains and updates resource material library
- Meets with product representatives to obtain latest specifications and product information
- Prepares scale drawings and assists in the development of contract documents
- Contributes to cost estimation processes, enhancing your understanding of project budgeting and financial implications
- Schedules technical support staff engaged in the preparation of drawings and specification documents
- May coordinate technical staff project responsibilities
- Participates in firm-wide quality initiatives
- Depending on project needs, may perform a phase manager role in complex projects as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 1-2+ years related experience
- Able to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up and other design applications
- Advanced-level competency in Microsoft Office Suite
- LEED accreditation preferred
- Must enjoy collaborating with a design team
