Woolpert is an award-winning, global leader in architecture, engineering, and geospatial services. They are seeking to hire an Architectural Designer to join their Mission Critical practice, focusing on performance-driven, highly complex facilities for major technology clients. The role involves assisting in the preparation of construction documents, production of presentation materials, and contributing to cost estimation processes.


Responsibilities

  • Assists Project Architect in the preparation of construction documents and specifications using computer assisted design software and equipment
  • Assists in the preparation and production of presentation materials, models and material boards
  • Assists in the preparation and production of various studies and reports
  • Maintains and updates resource material library
  • Meets with product representatives to obtain latest specifications and product information
  • Prepares scale drawings and assists in the development of contract documents
  • Contributes to cost estimation processes, enhancing your understanding of project budgeting and financial implications
  • Schedules technical support staff engaged in the preparation of drawings and specification documents
  • May coordinate technical staff project responsibilities
  • Participates in firm-wide quality initiatives
  • Depending on project needs, may perform a phase manager role in complex projects as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • 1-2+ years related experience
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up and other design applications
  • Advanced-level competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • LEED accreditation preferred
  • Must enjoy collaborating with a design team
