The California Department of Social Services is dedicated to serving and supporting the people of California. They are seeking a Prevention Consultant to provide technical assistance, develop and monitor grant-funded programs, and support child abuse prevention initiatives across the state.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to internal and external partners from public, community-based and private sectors
- Develop, implement, and monitor grant-funded programs and contracts that advance prevention and family strengthening initiatives across the state
- Help coordinate workgroups and meetings
- Work closely with public and private partners in outreach and education efforts
- Build and sustain prevention networks by elevating the role of prevention across child and family serving systems
- Support meaningful collaboration with community partners
- Perform analysis, interpretation, research, and implementation of county prevention plans and programs
- Provide technical assistance support related to creating and furthering child safety and family stability
