The AIM Analyst/Senior Analyst will focus on data governance of investment data, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems while collaborating with investment teams to enhance reporting and operational processes.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure data quality and maintain data accuracy and consistency between the investments system (Aladdin), accounting system (PAM) and the local data warehouse
  • Design and perform data quality checks and controls
  • Conduct reconciliations of investment data across systems and resolve discrepancies
  • Enhance and improve incomplete or incorrect data
  • Maintain portfolio setup ensuring consistency and timely updates of portfolio data across the systems
  • Collaborate with investment teams to define reporting business requirements and support development, testing and implementation in the local data warehouse
  • Enhance existing PowerBI data models to support investment management and operations reporting
  • Support investment management teams with investment data analysis
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce risk
  • Integrate best practices and procedures, including metrics for assessing progress in data management
  • Create, manage, and continually improve a culture that enables trust in data, information-on-demand and scheduled/ad-hoc reports for investment management, investment operation teams and other stakeholders
  • Maintain the data glossary to ensure consistent definitions and understanding of key terms
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

Skills

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Relevant internship experience or experience in the investment industry
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data science or related field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, passion for data
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas
