Job Description

The AI & Innovation Team is looking for a motivated intern to contribute to real-world projects at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, software engineering, and connected health technologies. This is a hands-on role embedded within a cross-functional team that builds AI enabled solutions for clinical trial operations, enterprise tooling, and digital health innovation. The intern will gain exposure to the full breadth of the team's work — from applied AI and agentic systems to data pipelines, connected devices, and enterprise AI adoption — and will contribute meaningfully to active projects under the mentorship of senior team members.

Responsibilities

Contribute to projects across one or more of the team's core competency areas (i.e., applied AI, data science, dev innovation, connected device innovation, and enterprise AI)

Write clean, well-documented code in Python and/or other languages relevant to the assigned project

Assist with data preparation, analysis, and pipeline development

Support the design, prototyping, and testing of AI-enabled features and tools

Participate in daily standups, team meetings, and agile development practices

Document findings, processes, and technical decisions

Present work and learnings to the team and stakeholders

Qualifications

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

Foundational programming skills in Python or a similar language

Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective written and verbal communication

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred

Coursework or experience in machine learning, statistics, or data analysis

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, or similar)

Experience with SQL and database management

Familiarity with REST APIs and web development frameworks

Interest in healthcare, clinical trials, or life sciences

Prior internship or project experience in software engineering or data science
