Position Overview: Agency Sales Manager
The Agency Sales Manager serves as the authoritative expert for corporate travel management organizations at arenaflex. This is a strategic individual contributor role that exercises significant judgment to make decisions that drive consistent revenue growth. You'll leverage your deep understanding of our network and corporate client relationships to identify opportunities, negotiate agreements, and expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities
As an Agency Sales Manager at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a diverse set of responsibilities that require both strategic thinking and tactical execution:
- Strategic Agency Partnership Leadership: Serve as the primary authority and subject matter expert for Travel Management Company (TMC) business relationships at arenaflex, acting as the go-to resource for all agency-related inquiries and strategic initiatives.
- Business Development & Relationship Building: Construct and nurture strategic business partnerships with TMC accounts, focusing on creating valuable business travel learning experiences that position arenaflex as the preferred airline partner.
- Independent Negotiation & Decision Making: With minimal direction from leadership, exercise considerable judgment to manage pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements with the intent of securing the highest market share and yield possible in individual commercial markets.
- Contract Development & Legal Compliance: Partner with legal and risk management teams to develop contract-official arrangements that protect arenaflex interests while maintaining competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Performance Analysis & Optimization: Analyze revenue, discounts, and contract performance to ensure target compliance and profitability across all agency partnerships.
- Collaborative Marketing Initiatives: Develop marketing-related promotions to help drive sales efforts, working closely with marketing and business loyalty teams to create compelling offers that attract and retain corporate clients.
- TMC Account Management: Manage the establishment of TMC organization accounts through sales calls, negotiation arrangements, and coordination with pricing teams to ensure competitive positioning.
- Revenue Growth Strategy: Plan business growth and lead development of other organization accounts through collaboration with revenue management teams to ensure exceptional filings are submitted appropriately and drive expected revenue per the specifics of each agreement.
- Market Intelligence & Analysis: Monitor reporting and statistics to identify trends and develop strategies to ensure arenaflex is positioned appropriately in the market relative to competitors.
- Financial Performance Monitoring: Monitor revenue, commissions, and contract performance to ensure maximum revenue and share objectives are achieved, consistently exceeding targets.
- Resource Optimization: Effectively manage and negotiate time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for arenaflex.
- Regional Sales Execution: Prepare and execute regional sales plans according to corporate sales targets, ensuring arenaflex is strategically positioned among competitors and leveraging our market position effectively.
Required Qualifications & Experience
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in external sales, with a focus on the retail service environment or a related area. This experience should demonstrate your ability to build relationships, close deals, and drive revenue growth.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, candidates with two additional years of relevant training or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong capability with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills are particularly valuable for this role given the analytical nature of the responsibilities.
- High School Credential: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
