Primerica is recognized as a top workplace and is seeking an entry-level Accountant I to support day-to-day accounting operations. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and supporting accounts payable and receivable transactions under the guidance of senior accounting staff.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and data entry
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, as needed
  • Review transactions for accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests
  • Support compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Skills

  • Assist with daily accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and data entry

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships acceptable)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Internship or prior experience in a corporate accounting environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Office Connect, Blackline)
  • Progress toward CPA or other accounting certification
