2D Artist/Animator Needed for Instagram Ad

Job Title: Animator for 5s "Scroll-Stopper" SFF Book Trailer (9:16 Vertical)

Job Description:

I need a high-energy, 5-second animation sequence for a Meta ad promoting my SFF novel, Beyond Human: Youth. This is a short, punchy "shred" style edit.

The Task (5 Seconds Total):

The Character Flash (4s): 8 different characters appearing for 0.5s each. I need a "micro-animation" for each (stance change, weapon draw, or action pose) to create a visceral, high-impact opening.

Character descriptions:

The "Beyond Human" Shred Lineup (8 Beats)

1. Jeremy (The Charismatic Power)

Visual: Calm but terrifying. A "Magnificent Bastard" vibe. Sharp, expensive-looking tactical wear over a lean, powerful frame.

Animation: A slow, knowing smirk that shifts into a cold, predatory stare. High-intensity "boss" energy.

2. Gellert (The Protector)

Visual: Rugged and burdened. Eyes that look like they haven't slept in years. Heavy, scarred tactical gear.

Animation: A heavy, desperate punch toward the camera or shielding a flash of light with a massive, trembling forearm.

3. Scotty (The Hardened Brother)

Visual: A tragic cyborg. Dull matte metal limbs bolted into skin. A face that wants to cry but physically can’t.

Animation: A mechanical twitch of a bionic hand followed by a violent, flickering spark from an exposed wire.

4. Vixi (The female Elementalist)

Visual: Dressed in scavenged survivor clothes—layers of dust-stained fabric and leather. Most importantly: Glowing purple "Anti-Scars" (luminous patterns / kind of like tattoos. In this book, the more anti scars / glowing tattoos you have, the stronger you are).

Animation: A kinetic snap of her wrist that sends out fire or lightning

5. The Secret Agent (The Shadow)

Visual: Sleek, dark silhouette. Masked or wearing a high-tech visor. No skin showing—all "utility."

Animation: Dropping from the top of the frame into a silent crouch, a blade glinting in one hand.

6. The Gritty Survivor (The Scavenger)

Visual: Covered in "iron-grime" and soot. Mismatched armor and a heavy rucksack.

Animation: Tearing a mask off to spit out dust, eyes wide and manic, looking for the next threat.

7. The "Beyond Human" Augmented (The Monster)

Visual: A character who has lost their humanity to tech. More machine than man. Harsh, glowing optics.

Animation: A head-tilt at an unnatural angle with a sharp, hydraulic "click" sound effect.

8. The Brotherly Bond (The Emotional Core)

Visual: Gellert and Scotty together. One leaning on the other.

Animation: Gellert pulling Scotty up from the ground. A split-second of raw, human connection amidst the chaos.

And then a 1 second animation.

The simple logo will turn into the book cover.

The elements (fire / cloud / rock / water) in the logo will be animated.

Style Required: Gritty, cinematic 2D. Think Red Rising or The Expanse vibes. Must be 9:16 vertical for Reels. DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ANIME STYLE
