USA TODAY/usatoday.com is seeking a summer intern to join its Opinion team. This exciting opportunity involves fact-checking opinion columns and offers the chance to write opinion columns as well.
This is a 10 week program 40 hours per week. Hourly rate is $18.00
Responsibilities:
- Fact-check opinion columns to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Collaborate with the Opinion team to develop and write opinion columns.
- Conduct research to support opinion pieces.
- Engage with readers and respond to feedback on published columns.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in journalism and opinion writing.
- Excellent research and fact-checking skills.
- Ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
