The State of New York is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Water Safety Coordinator for the Palisades Region. In this role, you will play a crucial role in promoting and enforcing water safety regulations, as well as providing oversight and support for water safety programs and initiatives. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of water safety principles and regulations, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for ensuring the safety of all individuals enjoying our state's beautiful waterways. Develop and implement water safety policies and procedures for the Palisades Region in accordance with state and federal regulations Conduct regular inspections and audits of water safety practices at public and private bodies of water within the region Collaborate with local and state agencies, organizations, and community groups to promote and educate the public on water safety measures Serve as a resource and provide guidance to local businesses and organizations on water safety regulations and best practices Lead and coordinate water safety training programs for lifeguards, boaters, and other individuals involved in water activities Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current water safety programs and make recommendations for improvements Investigate and report on any water-related incidents or accidents within the region Maintain accurate records and documentation of all water safety activities and incidents Represent the state in meetings and conferences related to water safety and serve as a spokesperson for the Palisades Region Stay current on industry trends and developments in water safety and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures as needed.
