About the Team
The Content Operations & Innovation team at arenaflex is responsible for ensuring that our content delights members through efficient operational workflows and execution. We leverage our massive scale while constantly innovating to deliver more value on screen. Within this dynamic organization, you'll be joining the Netfx team—a growing cross-functional visual effects (VFX) initiative built on arenaflex's innovative platform.
Netfx optimizes the pairing of skills to responsibilities to execute a high volume of global work. With an extensive ecosystem of assets (VFX studios, artists) throughout the post-production environment, we're ensuring that our members experience the best version of every show—sparking joy around the globe.
What You'll Do
As a Summer 2024 Intern on our team, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating departmental needs while participating in a comprehensive training and development program designed to equip you with the skill set vital to becoming a strong candidate for future entry-level positions in business analytics—regardless of the domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Comprehensive Analysis: Evaluate current transactional digital marketplaces and provide detailed insights into their structure and efficiency.
- Market Research: Research and analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes for global marketplaces, identifying opportunities and threats.
- Strategic Insights: Offer insights and recommendations based on marketplace analysis to aid strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members to develop and refine competitive pricing strategies.
- Financial Modeling: Assist in developing financial models to evaluate business performance and assess potential scenarios.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Contribute to forecasting and budgeting procedures to support overall financial planning efforts.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with teams across departments to gain a holistic understanding of the business.
- Communication: Participate in meetings and presentations to share findings and recommendations with stakeholders.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking candidates who are passionate about the entertainment industry and eager to learn. This role is perfect for university students looking to gain real-world experience in business analytics within a global technology company.
Essential Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a university program (undergraduate or graduate level)
- Interest in working within the entertainment and media industry
- Interest in global marketplace analysis and platform (customer/provider) dynamics
- Located in the United States during the internship period (relocation assistance may be provided if applicable)
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with software programs including:
- Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and workflows
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or relevant experience in media, technology, or consulting
- Basic understanding of financial statements and business metrics
- Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
- Coursework in economics, business, finance, or related fields
- International experience or cultural awareness
