Job Title: Sr. Engineering Excellence Manager
Reports to: Sr Director, Quality Engineering and Engineering Excellence
Location: Los Angeles, California - Remote
The Role
As a Senior Engineering Excellence Manager, you will be a transformation partner and senior individual contributor, driving technology delivery, engineering rigor, and operational excellence across Deckers Brands. You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Engineering Excellence & Quality to support large-scale transformation initiatives, mentor delivery leaders, and establish standards, metrics, and operating models that enable predictable, high-quality delivery at scale. Leading through influence, you’ll work alongside delivery and engineering leaders to raise maturity, especially in complex initiatives like cloud migration and modernization. Your impact will be felt across the organization as you champion quality, reliability, and automation-first practices.

- Lead special projects that advance engineering excellence, championing automation and AI practices to keep Deckers Brands at the forefront of technology and operational success.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Significant experience in technology delivery, transformation, or operational excellence roles
- Proven track record supporting or leading large, complex initiatives (cloud migration, platform modernization, delivery framework adoption)
- Experience coaching or enabling delivery managers, program leads, or cross-functional teams, especially in lower-maturity or high-ambiguity environments
- Demonstrated success improving delivery predictability, execution discipline, and continuous improvement outcomes
- Experience working closely with engineering, architecture, operations, and quality teams without owning direct technical delivery
- Strong delivery and systems thinking, with the ability to identify structural issues across people, process, and technology
- Deep understanding of modern delivery practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, continuous improvement, flow metrics)
- Ability to establish and operationalize delivery and engineering KPIs and translate data into actionable insights
- Effective coach and influencer, able to raise execution maturity without formal authority
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and bringing clarity, structure, and momentum
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, especially with senior technical and delivery leaders
