Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support our Subscriber Operations functionality within the Data Analytics group. This position is responsible for the measurement and management of subscriber balances across the arenaflex streaming portfolio, which includes multiple premium streaming platforms serving diverse audiences globally. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional SQL expertise, and the ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights that drive critical business decisions.
This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate subscriber communications, managing incident-related remediations, and maintaining data integrity across our subscriber management systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that directly impact our subscriber experience and business operations. Your daily activities will include:
- Subscriber Communication Management: Oversee and maintain data requirements related to subscriber messaging initiatives, including cost increases, subscriber plan modifications, new data collection efforts, and incident remediation. You will ensure that the correct subscribers receive appropriate notifications and that clients receive refunds when required due to service disruptions or billing errors.
- SQL Query Development: Develop complex queries based on required business logic, including legally binding communications, to determine accurate subscriber cohorts for messaging campaigns and remediation efforts. You will leverage your expertise in ETL processing pipelines to extract, transform, and load data efficiently while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams, providing concise summaries of technical progress, roadblocks, or pivots to stakeholders at various organizational levels. You will serve as a bridge between business operations and technical teams.
- Data Infrastructure Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of subscriber balances and the technical infrastructure that underpins our subscriber data systems. This knowledge will enable you to identify optimization opportunities and anticipate potential issues before they impact operations.
- Project Planning and Execution: Manage project planning and timelines while overseeing cross-functional delivery to ensure readiness for significant business events, product launches, and seasonal campaigns that impact subscriber communications.
- Process Improvement: Drive alignment across Data, Business Operations, and Finance teams through the development of robust communication processes and operational playbooks that enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Reporting and Analytics: Collaborate with Data Product and Data Quality Engineering teams to contribute to the design of robust reporting solutions that minimize data incidents and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of work experience developing in SQL, with specific expertise in ETL processing pipeline environments. You should be comfortable writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and debugging data issues.
- Analytical Background: At least 2+ years of analytical experience, demonstrating the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions that inform business strategy.
- Communication Skills: Proven experience delivering technical and analytical concepts to diverse audiences, including executives, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders. You must be capable of tailoring your communication style to suit different audiences while maintaining clarity and impact.
- Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Python, R, or other statistical programming languages for data analysis and statistical modeling purposes.
