Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst who will be supporting the business through estimation, investigation, and knowledge generation for our trade and development product surface areas. This position will help the business respond to key questions concerning the performance of various sign-up and trade streams, identify patterns in structured and unstructured data, and develop proposals to improve business performance.
The analyst will be instrumental in driving the use of analysis as a key revenue driver to increase recruits and trade conversions across several newly expanded global tiering initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, your responsibilities will span multiple dimensions of analytical work, from exploratory data analysis to strategic insight generation. Here's what you can expect in this role:
- Build Examinations and Data Visualizations: Construct comprehensive examinations, data visualizations, and multi-functional reporting that provide critical support to operations and decision-making for the sign-up and trade product spaces. You will develop dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that empower stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators and make informed decisions.
- Answer Core Business Questions: Provide analytical expertise on the various trade streams across our streaming platforms to improve customer experience and increase conversions. You will tackle complex business questions, design appropriate analytical frameworks, and deliver findings that drive measurable improvements in user engagement and retention.
- Advance Analytical Capabilities: Elevate the analytical skills of the business by collaborating on the design of diagnostic solutions and delivering exceptional data insights and products. You will mentor junior analysts, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and establish best practices for data analysis across the organization.
- Technical Data Extraction and Analysis: Utilize data visualization tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze both structured and unstructured data. You will write complex queries, build data pipelines, and ensure data integrity while working with large-scale datasets.
- Statistical Analysis and Modeling: Apply descriptive and inferential statistics (including t-tests, chi-square tests, ANOVA, correlation analysis, regression, factor analysis, and more) to understand cohort behaviors and value, making a meaningful impact across the business. You will develop statistical models that predict user behavior and identify trends.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, marketing teams, and senior leadership to translate data insights into actionable strategies. You will present findings to stakeholders at all levels and influence product roadmaps and business strategies.
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Lead analysis projects from ambiguous requirements through successful completion, translating complex findings into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and drive measurable business outcomes.
What to Bring
We are looking for candidates who possess a unique combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will bring:

- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus but not required.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as an analyst in a data and analytics role with excellent SQL, Python, or R skills for complex querying, advanced analysis, performance optimization, and working with data at scale. Experience in the streaming, media, or technology industries is highly desirable.
- Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end analysis projects, taking them from ambiguous requirements to successful stories, accessible across various audiences, and ultimately to measurable business outcomes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to build strong working relationships with partners, colleagues, and technical peers. You should be comfortable presenting complex findings to senior leadership.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and manipulation, along with experience using programming languages such as Python or R for statistical analysis and data processing.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach ambiguous challenges with creativity and structure.

- A Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field
- Demonstrated data visualization skills with tools such as Matplotlib, Tableau, Looker, MicroStrategy, Plotly, or similar platforms
