What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Analyst - Customer Experience at arenaflex, you will be responsible for combining business and customer understanding with your analytical expertise to make sound recommendations in your domain. Your role will involve continuous discovery and data exploration, allowing you to deeply understand the data domain for your assigned initiative better than any other resource in the company. You will know what data is available, how to join it, and how to use it to tell compelling stories, make critical decisions, and answer complex questions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Data Expertise and Leadership: Serve as the primary data expert on a balanced team engaged in a key CX initiative for the company, providing guidance and mentorship to colleagues on data-related matters.
  • Insight Generation: Combine business and customer understanding with advanced analytical expertise to develop sound recommendations that drive customer experience improvements.
  • Continuous Discovery: Engage in ongoing discovery and data exploration to uncover hidden patterns, trends, and opportunities within customer data.
  • Data Domain Mastery: Become the definitive expert on the data domain for your assigned initiative, understanding what data exists, how to join disparate data sources, and how to leverage it effectively for storytelling and decision-making.
  • Impact Measurement: Track the benefits of actions taken by the CX team using multiple stitched data sources, demonstrating ROI and informing future strategies.
  • Advanced Query Development: Create and maintain advanced SQL queries that power critical dashboards and reporting mechanisms across the organization.
  • Dashboard Creation: Develop intuitive front-end dashboards using tools like Tableau to visualize customer insights and make data accessible to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Platform Development: Assist in designing and building the new CX data platform, contributing your expertise to create a robust foundation for future analytics capabilities.
  • Documentation and Enablement: Create base queries and comprehensive documentation to assist business teams in connecting to new data sources and leveraging data independently.
  • Ad Hoc Analytics: Respond to ad hoc analytics requests from various stakeholders, delivering timely and accurate insights to support business decisions.

Reporting and Collaboration Structure

This position reports directly to a Senior Engineer or Senior Manager within the Customer Experience organization. You will collaborate extensively with stakeholders across the company, including business leaders, developers, UX designers, and end-users to determine requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. While you will work independently in many respects, you will also be part of a tightly-knit team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mutual support.

Travel and Work Environment

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office. The role typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time, providing occasional opportunities for in-person collaboration and team building. Most of your time will be spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunities to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles. You will be located in a comfortable indoor area, and any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience in data analysis or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of data analysis experience (4-6 years preferred for senior position)
  • 1-2 years of experience in data management, process analysis, and improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences
  • Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills
