Sales Representative – US Farm Animal Beef

Job Description: • As a Territory Account Manager, you’ll create demand and secure sales by delivering and demonstrating the value of Elanco Animal Health products to direct customers and influencers. • Manage the territory through a yearly action plan, account plans, expense management, and appropriate communications consistent with Elanco's business unit marketing and sales objectives. • Plan, analyze and execute territory, account and budget plans to meet performance objectives within the Cattle Business Unit. • Implement and appropriately execute selling cycles, marketing programs and initiatives. • Plan and implement territory specific sales promotions, customer meetings and key customer outings and incentives. • Demonstrate technical fluency by successfully positioning all Elanco Cattle products and services through key messages, scientific information and product expertise. • Establish and nurture relationships with cattle producers, feed mills, retailers, veterinary clinics and other key influencers within the designated sales territory. • Work closely with cross-functional Elanco account teams, which may include marketing, technical support, and customer service representatives. • Collaborate with veterinarians and nutritionists to provide comprehensive solutions to Elanco Customers. Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred Agriculture or Animal Science major) or High School Diploma / GED with equivalent level of experience. • Strong work ethic. • Team mentality and collaboration. • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. • Experience with beef producers. • 3+ years of experience in the animal health or nutrition industry. • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the specific territory where you will be operating (Eastern Iowa, Illinois). • Prior experience in sales, preferably in the animal health or agricultural industry. • High initiative and work ethic. • Knowledge of cattle production including economics and key drivers. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to influence without authority. • Strong learning agility.
