The role involves receiving and entering medical claims accurately while maintaining production standards and assisting in training new employees.
Responsibilities
- Ensure bill is eligible for MCS review
- Handle / organize bills to be entered in a timely fashion
- Enter bill proficiently and accurately into internal system
- Communicate any special handling of each claim
- Maintains production standards and production requirements
- Comply with standard protocol for processing problem claims
- Responsible for high profile clients, including production, QC, communications, etc
- Train new employees
- Function as back-up for filter or filter leads
- Requires punctual and consistent attendance
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required
- Assist co-workers, supervisor and management in accomplishing production goals
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all aspects of communications and performance of duties
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year office experience
- Data Entry experience
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to QC personal work product and correct when applicable
- Exceptional organizational skills
- The ability to work independently, as well as with a team
- The ability to work in a fast paced/production environment
- Ability to investigate and obtain answers independently
- Effective and professional communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skill
- Requires punctual and consistent attendance
