[Remote] Senior QA Automation Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tailored Management is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications, APIs, web services, and databases. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery while driving automation best practices and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Object-Oriented Ruby, Cucumber, and Cypress frameworks
• Enhance and extend existing test automation frameworks
• Execute automated and manual test cases throughout the software development lifecycle
• Analyze test results and communicate findings to project stakeholders
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
• Provide test execution metrics, defect reporting, and project status updates
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure product quality
• Contribute to QA process improvements, standards, and best practices
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance as needed

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API testing
• Strong experience with: Ruby, Cucumber, Cypress, Test Automation Framework Development, API Testing, Jira, Confluence
• Experience testing: Web Applications, Web Services/APIs, Databases
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management processes
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
• Experience leading QA initiatives and mentoring team members
