[Remote] Network Administrator

The Network Administrator will ensure the installation, maintenance, and reliable operation of the organization's network infrastructure, contributing to optimal network performance, security, and stability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly
• Provide Level 2 support for network incidents and service requests
• Collaborate with other teams for environment integration and operation
• Implement and manage network security measures
• Work with Security Team to address vulnerabilities and ensure regulatory compliance
• Assist with implementation and documentation of network solutions and improvements
• Keep updated on network technology advancements and recommend system enhancements
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies
• Generate reports on network performance and incidents
• Monitor network performance and ensure reliability
• Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other devices
• Perform routine network maintenance, including updates and patch management
• Participate in hiring and recruitment processes and mentor team members
• Help shape and reinforce company culture promoting collaboration and engagement
• Provide on-call support during peak periods and participate in rotating shifts
• Attend in-person meetings at headquarters approximately twice per year
• Travel up to 5% as required
• Reside in Eastern or Central time zone

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 1-3+ years of network administration experience
• Hands-on experience with network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
• CCNA or Network+ certification required
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF)
• Proficiency in firewall configurations and VPN technologies
• Familiarity with network security tools and practices
• Knowledge of monitoring tools for performance and troubleshooting
• Understanding of ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable
• Exposure to cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• AZ900 and AI900 certifications preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of joining
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) preferred
