Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. FTSi.Tech is a staffing agency seeking an IT Project Manager for a long-term contract in the biotechnology industry. The role involves managing the end-to-end project lifecycle, coordinating across teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including scope, timelines, dependencies, milestones, and resource alignment
- Drive execution across multiple concurrent workstreams (infrastructure, identity, collaboration, endpoint, applications)
- Ensure adherence to integration standards, governance, and delivery practices
- Establish and maintain project governance structure, including cadence, reporting, and escalation paths
- Provide clear, executive-level status reporting (progress, risks, decisions, financials, outcomes)
- Manage and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) and drive timely resolution
- Prepare and present SteerCo and ELT-ready updates
- Track and enforce milestones, deliverables, and accountability across teams
- Identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies and blockers early
- Ensure disciplined follow-up on actions, decisions, and commitments
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to maintain delivery momentum
- Serve as the primary coordination point between internal IT, integration teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors/partners
- Drive alignment on priorities, scope, and outcomes
- Communicate impacts, risks, and trade-offs with clarity and transparency
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Lead structured escalation with clear recommendations and decision requests
- Manage scope and change controls to protect delivery outcomes and timelines
- Ensure completion of operational readiness activities, including support model alignment, service desk and escalation workflows, and monitoring and reporting readiness
- Oversee transition to steady-state operations with clear ownership and documentation
- Define measurable success criteria upfront (timeline, quality, adoption, stability)
- Track progress against KPIs and business outcomes
- Ensure projects deliver operational value, stability, and user experience improvements
- Establish and maintain program governance for integration activities across Infrastructure & Operations and Enterprise Systems
- Lead phased rollout activities across proof of concept, pilot, and full deployment stages
- Manage wave-based deployment across 5K+ endpoints and 3K+ VDIs
- Drive closure of key readiness activities, including SOC operating model alignment, support and escalation workflows, Defender transition validation, and reporting and visibility enablement
- Align IT Operations, Security, Service Desk, Infrastructure teams, Enterprise Systems stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure execution across interconnected integration workstreams
- Synchronize workstation and VDI workstreams to maintain dependency alignment, minimize operational disruption, and support a cohesive deployment approach
- Establish centralized deployment tracking for installation status, deployment waves, and segmentation
- Define cross-functional pilot cohorts, validate readiness outcomes, and gate rollout progression based on agreed success criteria
Skills
- 10+ years of IT Project / Program Management experience, including large enterprise environments
- Proven experience leading M&A or large-scale integration programs
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-workstream IT projects
- Strong expertise in infrastructure and cloud migrations, identity and endpoint integration, and enterprise application integrations
- Experience managing global, cross-functional teams and vendors
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience managing large-scale IT programs, infrastructure initiatives, or enterprise transformation projects, preferably including merger, acquisition, or integration-related work
- Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams, external vendors, and managed service partners across complex delivery programs
- Demonstrated ability to drive project timelines, manage multiple concurrent workstreams, and proactively monitor dependencies and risks within a structured program governance model
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure & Operations domains, including endpoint management, virtual desktop environments, identity and access, collaboration platforms, security tooling, and enterprise application dependencies
- Experience supporting operational readiness activities such as support model definition, escalation planning, transition validation, reporting design, and go-live preparedness
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and SteerCo audiences
- Experience with project and deployment tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, or similar platforms used for enterprise program execution
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
- Experience working within similar regulated enterprise environments
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, M365, and enterprise integration tooling
- PMP, ITIL or similar program and change management certifications
