Position Overview
As a Remote Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you will be responsible for accurately entering, verifying, and maintaining financial data in our systems. This role is essential to our operations, as the data you handle directly impacts customer satisfaction, financial reporting, and overall business efficiency. You'll work independently but will be closely supported by our credit management team and will have regular communication with various departments to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:
- Payment Processing: Accurately key driver payments upon receipt of notification from the payroll department, ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely manner and recorded correctly in our system.
- Account Adjustments: Input all adjustments needed to maintain proper customer balances, including credits, debits, and corrections, while maintaining absolute accuracy to prevent financial discrepancies.
- Quality Control: Review printed edits to ensure payment batches balance correctly, thereby guaranteeing proper credits are applied to customer accounts and identifying any discrepancies before final processing.
- Documentation Management: Confirm that all batches are properly logged, dated, and filed in the correct location and chronological order, maintaining organized records for audit and reference purposes.
- Customer Data Maintenance: Maintain a complete and accurate computer-printed customer list, ensuring all information is current, correct, and properly formatted.
- Customer Status Updates: Key in changes to customer status, including conversions from charge to cash or cash to charge, address changes, and minor modifications to account information.
- Cash Receipt Verification: Follow up on cash receipt logs to ensure accuracy and proper distribution to relevant personnel, working closely with the accounts receivable team.
- Turnaround Time: Ensure all keying is completed within 24 hours after receipt of documents to maintain operational efficiency and meet tight deadlines.
- Daily Reporting: Log the A/R Daily Proof Book with totals from the A/R transaction ledger and route collections appropriately to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Month-End Closing: Enter all data on the last working day prior to month-end to verify that all information is entered and calculated correctly on statements, supporting our month-end closing process.
- Additional Duties: Perform and assist in other duties as deemed necessary by the Credit Manager, supporting the overall goals of the finance department.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets, use formulas, and manage data effectively. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word for document preparation and Microsoft Outlook for professional email communication.
- Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute with high accuracy is essential for efficient data entry.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors in financial data.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
