What You'll Do
As a Data Analyst on our Content Strategy team, you'll be embedded in a collaborative environment where curiosity is celebrated, and insights drive action. Your daily work will involve:
- Applying Advanced Analytics Techniques: Utilize data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning methodologies on large-scale, high-dimensional datasets to uncover patterns and trends that inform business decisions.
- Exploring Customer Behavior: Dive deep into viewer preferences, genre inclinations, and viewing patterns to identify unmet customer needs and uncover hidden content opportunities that could expand our audience reach.
- Predicting Content Engagement: Build predictive models that forecast content performance, helping guide our acquisition and licensing decisions to ensure we're investing in content that resonates with our viewers.
- Optimizing Content Strategy: Analyze and refine our content launch schedules and episode release strategies to maximize viewer engagement and retention across our platform.
- Testing Marketing Initiatives: Design and execute experiments to test marketing strategies, measuring their impact on audience engagement, subscription conversion, and customer retention.
- Developing New Metrics and KPIs: Ideate and implement innovative measurements and key performance indicators that accurately assess content performance for both tactical day-to-day decisions and strategic long-term planning.

What to Bring
We're seeking a candidate who combines strong technical abilities with a genuine passion for entertainment and a knack for solving complex problems. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data analysis or a similar analytical role, demonstrating proficiency in turning data into business insights.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.
- Experience in R and/or Python for statistical analysis, data visualization, and machine learning applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, including decision trees, regression models, clustering algorithms, and other predictive modeling approaches.
- The ability to work independently while exercising creativity and resourcefulness in tackling ill-defined problems and ambiguous datasets.
