Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative position is a full-time, remote role that offers the flexibility of working from home after completing on-site training. This position is responsible for handling customer inquiries, taking inbound calls, making outbound calls, and processing applications over the phone for arenaflex's programs. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and a genuine desire to help others.

Important Note: We can only accept applicants who reside in the state of Pennsylvania. This position requires successful completion of on-site training at our Pittsburgh, PA location before transitioning to a remote work setup.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that contribute to the smooth operation of our programs and the satisfaction of our customers. Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Customer Inquiry Handling: Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs, answering questions and providing accurate information about arenaflex's programs and services.
  • Inbound Call Management: Take incoming calls from customers, assist them with their questions, and work to resolve any problems or concerns they may have in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Outbound Calling: Make outbound calls as needed to follow up with customers, gather additional information, and ensure program requirements are met.
  • Application Processing: Take applications over the phone and determine customer eligibility for arenaflex's programs, ensuring all required information is collected accurately.
  • Administrative Functions: Complete all administrative tasks associated with the position, including data entry, filing, and documentation.
  • Customer File Management: Maintain and update customer files in our computer systems, ensuring all information is current, accurate, and properly stored.
  • Contact Documentation: Document all contact with customers, including details of conversations, actions taken, and any follow-up required.
  • Correspondence Processing: Process all program correspondence and mailings as assigned, ensuring that customers receive important documents and information in a timely manner.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Recognize and respect diversity among coworkers and customers, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
  • Conflict Resolution: Manage difficult or emotional customer situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism, working to de-escalate tensions and find positive solutions.

Essential Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems and Microsoft Office Applications is essential. Proficiency with data entry and basic computer operations is a must.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to customers and colleagues.
  • Customer Service Orientation: A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Residency: Must reside in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Availability: Must be available to work a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday during day shift hours (8-hour shifts).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications and experiences are highly preferred:

  • Prior Customer Service Experience: At least one year of customer service experience is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates who are new to the field but possess the right attitude and aptitude!
  • Call Center Experience: Previous experience in a call center environment is a plus but not mandatory.
