Position Overview
The Customer Service & Data Entry Representative will provide a wide variety of administrative and staff support services for our claims coordination team. This is a fully remote position – we'll provide you with all the necessary equipment, including a computer, headset, and software access. All you need is a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
In this role, you'll be the data champion we need, ensuring that claims information is accurately entered, verified, and processed in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of our claims coordination team, you will be responsible for:
- Claims Data Entry: You will primarily be doing data entry of claims information into our state-of-the-art claims management systems. This includes inputting patient information, claim details, billing codes, and supporting documentation with absolute precision.
- Claims Follow-Up: Follow up on missing information in order to process the claim efficiently. You'll communicate professionally with healthcare providers, patients, and internal teams to obtain necessary documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Invoice Review: Review invoices to ensure accuracy, identifying any billing errors or inconsistencies that could impact claim processing. Your meticulous review helps prevent costly mistakes and ensures compliance with industry standards.
- Report Generation: Compile reports from systems with claims information, generating meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on entered data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
- Customer Support: Respond to inquiries from clients, healthcare providers, and patients with professionalism and empathy, providing accurate information and resolving concerns promptly.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining data entry processes and contribute ideas for enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certifications or coursework in healthcare administration, data management, or related fields is a plus.
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience in data entry, administrative support, or customer service. Prior experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims processing is highly desirable but not required – we provide comprehensive training!
- Technical Skills: Basic computer and typing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Comfortable learning new software systems quickly.
- Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute with high accuracy.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is absolutely essential. You must be able to spot errors, inconsistencies, and missing information quickly and accurately.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older, or demonstrate legal capacity to enter a contract
