Sugar Land Psychological Associates (SLPA) is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow or Provisionally Licensed Psychologist (PLP) to join our growing team.
Role Description
This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide therapy and assessment services via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms to clients across Texas. Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, you will deliver psychological services within your scope of training while receiving structured supervision, mentorship, and comprehensive administrative support.
Our integrated team includes psychologists, psychological associates, psychological assistants, and other clinicians who work collaboratively to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexibility, structured supervision, and professional development opportunities designed to help you advance toward full licensure.
Responsibilities
• Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy via secure telehealth platforms.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer, score, and interpret psychological and psychoeducational assessments remotely, producing integrated reports under supervision.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment updates, and assessment reports.
• Participate in weekly supervision sessions to meet licensure requirements and support professional growth.
• Collaborate with supervising psychologists and other clinicians to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Attend virtual case consultations and peer meetings to enhance learning and maintain connection within the practice.
• Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards, as well as practice policies.
Qualifications
• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology
• Completion of a doctoral internship in professional psychology.
• Current Provisional License as a Psychologist in Texas (or eligibility to obtain within four months of hire).
• Clinical experience providing therapy and psychological assessment.
• Strong clinical writing, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with—or willingness to learn—EHR systems and HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms.
• Ability to work independently within the scope of supervision while maintaining regular communication with supervisors.
• Commitment to culturally competent, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practice.
• Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience conducting psychological or psychoeducational assessments remotely.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Interest or background in child psychology, and health psychology settings.
