Project Engineer

Westinghouse Electric Co is committed to providing clean energy solutions and seeks a Project Engineer I to support New Plant opportunities. This role involves collaborating with teams on AP1000 nuclear power plant construction and participating in design reviews and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to implement standard work processes, procedures and automation tools on all AP1000 New Plant Opportunities consistent with the strategic direction established by the respective Project Partners
• Participate in cross-discipline coordination for both technical and schedule related issues
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and issue resolution processes to support construction activities
• Support contract activities to ensure completion within the required timeframe
• Participate in learning to build expertise in project execution

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Nuclear, or related discipline)
• 0+ years' experience
• Internship or co-op experience in a technical or engineering role
• Familiarity with nuclear power plant systems, codes, and standards
• Exposure to project management tools or methodologies
