As a Production Assistant at arenaflex, you'll be the backbone of our creative operations, ensuring that artists and production teams have everything they need to deliver exceptional work. You'll work closely with directors, producers, and artists to manage assets, organize workflows, and maintain the high standards that arenaflex is known for in the entertainment industry.
What You'll Do
Your role at arenaflex will be multifaceted, requiring you to wear many hats while supporting various stages of our production pipeline. Here's what you can expect:
Asset Management & Organization
- Collect and organize all artwork assets, including character models, props, and environment designs, preparing them for shipment to production facilities
- Label, categorize, and create comprehensive final model packs for efficient cargo and asset tracking
- Maintain organized asset documents and upload models to our digital asset management system
- Prepare documentation and files for background painters and color designers
- Ensure all artwork files adhere to standardized formats and naming conventions
Production Support
- Assist in creating and maintaining design asset lists as needed throughout production
- Take detailed notes during assigned meetings, conference calls (Zoom), and vendor discussions
- Obtain Director's approval on artwork at various stages of production
- Provide artists with necessary reference materials and creative support
- Pull "same as" artwork requests and ensure accurate file retrieval
Quality Control
- Perform quality control checks for line quality in digital artwork
- Review assets for technical accuracy and creative consistency
- Flag any issues or concerns to the production manager or supervisor immediately
- Communicate any delays or obstacles to the appropriate team members promptly
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Assist in the archival of artwork once production phases are complete
- Make recommendations for streamlining and enhancing production pipelines
- Suggest ideas for asset re-use and workflow efficiencies
- Identify and flag complexity issues that may impact production timelines
- Update and maintain production art forums and communication channels
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in prepping materials for awards submissions
- Help arrange morale events as directed by the line producer or production manager
- Maintain a helpful, positive attitude while demonstrating eagerness and curiosity
- Perform all other relevant duties as assigned by the line producer or production supervisor
- Handle additional responsibilities as necessary or as defined by individual contracts

Essential Qualifications

Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Final Draft 9.0 for script management
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Experience with ToonBoom Storyboard Pro
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Previous experience in animation, film, or television production
- Understanding of production pipelines in creative industries
