Position Overview
As an OnBoard Services Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a pivotal role in our Atlanta-based catering operations—the busiest hub in our global network. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that ensures our passengers enjoy exceptional dining experiences and that our flight crews receive the support they need for every journey.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our culinary teams and flight crew members to execute innovative, high-quality meal experiences that set arenaflex apart from the competition. You'll be the face of excellence in our onboard catering operations, representing arenaflex's commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of our OnBoard Services team, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that contribute to the smooth operation of our catering services. Your daily activities will include:
- Execute seamless hand-offs with flight crews and conduct thorough lead cookroom inspections during catering provisioning to identify and mitigate any missing item concerns or discrepancies before flights depart.
- Support restock operations of "hold items" from a terminal access vantage point to minimize delays and ensure complete catering truck dispatches, maintaining our reputation for reliability and attention to detail.
- Serve as a product and mileage Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Atlanta catering specifications, providing guidance and expertise to team members, suppliers, and OnBoard Services staff regarding menu items, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Track, analyze, and implement designated "surprise and delight" initiatives for MI-19 trends, customer complaints, and flight crew feedback to continuously improve our onboard offerings and service delivery.
- Actively participate in "Catering Selection Rush" events at supplier lounges, contributing to product evaluation, specification development, and change management communication and feedback processes.
- Engage in social media and SkyHub content creation to build and promote the arenaflex OnBoard Services brand, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of our operations and highlighting team achievements.
- Maintain consistent movement and active involvement in all aspects of the catering operation, demonstrating the physical capability to navigate our facilities efficiently and direct various operational activities.
- Apply exceptional customer service skills to diffuse tense situations, address concerns proactively, and resolve issues effectively on the fly while maintaining professionalism and composure.
- Perform multiple duties as assigned within the functional workspace, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support team needs during peak periods or special circumstances.
- Participate in daily team huddles to align on priorities, share updates, and foster open communication within the team.
- Assist with truck assembly and loading operations as needed, ensuring accurate inventory and timely departures.
- Build catering playbook drawers according to specifications, organizing all necessary items for each flight's unique requirements.
- Lift and transport items weighing up to 40 pounds, comparable to the physical demands of closing an aircraft door (40-60 pounds), throughout your shift.
- Perform quality control inspections before delivery to ensure all onboard items meet arenaflex's rigorous standards for freshness, presentation, and accuracy.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Valid Driver's License: Must maintain a current, valid driver's license throughout employment.
- Airport Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport identification badge with a customs seal, as required by federal regulations.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive post-offer pre-employment background investigation, including fingerprinting and criminal history record check as mandated by government regulations.
- Drug Screening: Must pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test.
- Communication Skills: Must possess strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand and follow detailed work instructions accurately.
- Schedule Flexibility: Must be able to work a fixed or rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational demands.
- Training Commitment: Must successfully complete all required training programs. Ongoing training for additional responsibilities, including specialized processes, equipment, and products, may be required.
- Work Environment: Must be willing to work in various indoor and outdoor environments, adapting to different weather conditions and facility settings.

- Equipment Operation: Must be able to safely drive and operate a catering truck when required for airplane dispatch operations.
