Industry recognized certification preferred. Job Description: Provides administration and coordination of all translation related functions for UTMB and delivers medical Spanish curriculum. Essential Duties: • Coordinates translation services for the institution. • Accurately translates letters, forms, medical reports, research papers, legal documents, contracts, transcripts, diplomas, certificates, video and audio tapes from English to Spanish and Spanish to English as required. • Coordinates and conducts medical terminology training courses. • Recommends training programs to meet departmental needs. • Develops training objectives, develops lesson plans, and prepares presentations and visual aids for training programs. • Provides direction to assigned personnel including training and orienting as required. Solves work-related problems and maintains productivity. • Provides interpreting services. • Presents training courses. • Adheres to internal controls established for department • Performs related duties as required.
