Mechanical / Process Design Engineer
(Hybrid)
We’re partnering with a growing industrial equipment manufacturer focused on tank washing and industrial wastewater systems. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll work on custom-designed systems from concept through fabrication alongside an experienced team of engineers and builders.
This is not a sit-back-and-design role — you’ll be involved in real equipment, real builds, and real problem solving.
What You’ll Do
• Design and develop industrial wastewater and process systems (clarifiers, filtration, mixing, dosing, dewatering, etc.)
• Create 3D models and drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Develop submittal packages including process and general arrangement drawings
• Coordinate with external PE firms for stamped calculations when required
• Collaborate with engineering team in design reviews and project discussions
• Support proposal development with costing inputs
• Work closely with manufacturing — including weldment QC and system testing
• Assist with controls-related tasks tied to system functionality
Engineering Scope
You’ll contribute across multiple disciplines:
• Process – water treatment and system design
• Mechanical – pumping, filtration, conveying systems
• Structural – platforms, access systems, modular layouts
What They’re Looking For
• Experience with industrial equipment / systems design (wastewater, process equipment, heavy fabrication, etc.)
• Strong 3D CAD background (AutoCAD and/or Revit)
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering + shop floor teams
• Hands-on, practical engineering mindset
No degree required if you bring the right experience and track record.
Work Environment
• Hybrid flexibility (office + home)
• Mix of office design work and on-site fabrication exposure
Travel is minimal (<20%) and primarily tied to system startups (almost entirely within the U.S.).
