Hello! Im looking for a videographer that likes to dabble in making music and has friends/acquaintances that also make music on their free time.
I need 3-5 minutes of you just showing us around a small bedroom musician studio (x4 - I need this done with 4 studios)
Doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just some over-the-shoulder & still desk shots of the musicians telling you why they like their equipment and what their signal flows are, ie "this is my guitar/synth/drum machine, when i record i put its signal through these pedals, this is one of my fave instruments/pedals bc....., then it goes to my interface, then to my DAW with these plugins".
• This can also be just you going through a friends studio yourself*
A few notes:
-Spoken words in the footage dont have to be scripted, should be more of a casual conversation between 2 friends nerding out on equipment.
-Showing of faces is NOT required.
-Instruments should be clearly shown.
-Decent lighting is essential. (I can only brighten up footage on editing software so much)
-Can be 1 continuous shot going through the equipment ending with a still shot of the musician hitting play on their DAW and letting it play for about 5-10 seconds.
-Should be still/smooth shots, no shaky footage (Hopefully you have a gimbal or other camera stabilizer)
-Doesn't have to be edited, you can send me the full/raw files as long as they're well lit.
Any particular tidbits musicians might want to share about why they like using certain instruments/pedals/interfaces/DAW's are very much encouraged.
Each breakdown should end with the musician playing a few seconds of music through their DAW. (Playing actual audio/music made by the musician is optional - i'm totally fine excluding the music if the musician is not comfortable sharing it but the DAW should show that its playing)
What is this for? - Im working on a music-oriented community website that I'm expecting to launch in mid to late April. I need the footage for a few short social media advertising vids. This is a personal project funded by me and my modest 9-5 job so unfortunately no corporate money that I can offer you.
