Aramark is seeking a Counsel at their office to support the Supply Chain Management and Group Purchasing Organization team. The role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing a variety of vendor and third-party contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including services, supplier, consulting, GPO membership, and other third-party agreements
- Review and assist the business in preparing contractual modifications; draft memoranda, and other correspondence relating to the procurement function
- Analyze and draft contractual requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies, strategic initiatives of the enterprise and business unit needs
- Identify and provide advice about commercial contractual risks and issues
- Balance legal advice and strategic business advice appropriately. Work directly with internal sales, strategic sourcing, financial, and account management personnel
- Negotiate directly with external parties
- Prepare and disseminate updates and analyses regarding contracting status, compliance and modifications
- Demonstrate confidence in work product and seeks guidance on specific sophisticated issues; and
- Other duties as may be requested by Aramark Legal
Skills
- J.D. required
- 1-3 years of relevant legal experience
- Attention to detail and exceptional organization skills, with persistence and professionalism
- Ability to work and think independently, possessing sound problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain professional and positive demeanor with internal clients, clients of our company, suppliers, vendors, senior management, and outside counsel in all circumstances
- Responsive and client-service focused
- Willingly accepts additional responsibility, challenging tasks, and/or projects
- Exceptional drafting skills with strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Fully proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook; proficiency in ARIBA and Smartsheet a plus
