What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional support to users of QuickBooks Online and other comparable accounting software platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to assist callers with a wide range of inquiries, ensuring their questions are answered thoroughly and their issues are resolved efficiently.
Core Duties Include:
- Accounting Software Guidance: Provide step-by-step instructions and demonstrations to help customers navigate QuickBooks Online and comparable accounting software platforms. This includes guiding users through setup processes, explaining feature functionalities, and helping them optimize their software experience.
- Ledger Entry Assistance: Support customers with creating, editing, and managing various ledger entries including journal entries, adjusting entries, and recurring transactions. You will help ensure accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) Support: Assist customers in understanding and managing their accounts receivable processes, including invoice creation, payment tracking, customer management, and collections procedures within the software.
- Accounts Payable (AP) Support: Help users navigate accounts payable functions such as bill entry, payment processing, vendor management, and expense tracking to maintain accurate financial records.
- Account Reconciliation: Guide customers through bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliation, and other account balancing processes to ensure their books are accurate and up-to-date.
- Troubleshooting Technical Issues: Diagnose and resolve software-related problems, including login issues, synchronization errors, data import/export challenges, and integration difficulties with third-party applications.
- Navigation and Feature Education: Educate customers on software navigation, dashboard customization, report generation, and utilizing various tools available within the accounting platform.
- Customer Issue Ownership: Take full ownership of each customer interaction, demonstrating confidence in problem resolution and ensuring complete satisfaction before concluding the support interaction.
- Documentation and Escalation: Accurately document all support interactions in our ticketing system and appropriately escalate complex issues to our technical support team when necessary.
- Product Feedback: Collaborate with our product development team by reporting recurring issues, suggesting improvements, and contributing to the overall enhancement of the customer experience.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping/Accounting Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, including a solid understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, general ledger management, and bank reconciliation processes.
- QuickBooks Online Proficiency: Demonstrated hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software is required. You should be comfortable navigating the software, creating various transaction types, and troubleshooting common issues.
- Customer Service Excellence: Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service, preferably in a call center or virtual support environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong comfort level with technology, including the ability to quickly learn new software applications, navigate multiple systems simultaneously, and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of customer issues, analyze problems thoroughly, and provide confident, accurate resolutions in a timely manner.
- Professional Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional tone. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly and patiently.

- Previous experience in remote customer support or work-from-home positions

Earnings Potential

- Hourly Rate: Earn up to $20.40 per hour based on experience and performance.
- Guaranteed Minimum: Contractors are guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes for each hour if available for the full 60 minutes, ensuring you are compensated fairly for your availability.

Important Information
- Location: This position is open to contractors residing in the United States, except California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington. We are currently unable to accept contractors from these states.

- Language Requirement: English fluency is required.
- Contractual Relationship: This is an independent contractor position. You will not be classified as an employee of arenaflex, and we will not withhold taxes from your earnings. As an independent contractor, you will not be entitled to vacation pay, sick leave, retirement benefits, Social Security, workers' compensation, health or disability benefits, overtime, unemployment insurance benefits, or employee benefits of any kind.
