<li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Develop, implement, and evaluate special education programs to meet the needs of students with disabilities.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Oversee the development and monitoring of IEPs, ensuring timelines are met and services are effective.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Foster positive relationships with parents, students, staff, vendor providers, and SELPA.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Ensure compliance with IDEA and other relevant laws.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Prepare and submit required reports to state and federal agencies.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Effectively use SEIS and CALPADS systems for compliance documentation.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><span>Compliance Monitoring:</span></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Conduct regular reviews and audits of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other special education documents to ensure legal compliance.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Monitor and maintain accurate records of compliance-related documentation.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Identify compliance gaps and collaborate on corrective action plans for staff struggling with compliance items.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Attend SELPA Professional Learning Network (PLN) meetings monthly.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Monitor and identify vendor providers (NPA) as needed to meet student service requirements.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Oversee and maintain assessment process timelines, including IEE assessment requests.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Maintain organized and efficient documentation systems accessible to all providers.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><span>Documentation and Reporting:</span></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Prepare compliance reports&nbsp;</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Maintain organized records of compliance documentation, including within the CALPADS system.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Develop and maintain documentation folders to respond accurately to records requests and assessment plans.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Ensure staff complete required documentation accurately and timely within Trivium/state/county/SELPA systems.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Recommend policy and procedure updates to increase efficiency.</span></p> </li> </ul> <br /> <p dir="ltr"><span>Staff Supervision and Development:</span></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Recruit, hire, train, and supervise special education teachers and support staff.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Provide ongoing professional development to enhance staff skills and knowledge.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Cultivate a positive, solution-oriented culture within the SPED Department.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Provide direction and accountability across all SPED department areas.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Develop and deliver training to support general and special education staff in understanding their roles in special education compliance.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff members to enhance their compliance knowledge.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Stay updated on changes in special education laws and regulations, providing training accordingly.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Promptly address compliance-related questions.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Manage instructional aides and other staff assigned to tasks within the Special Education department.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Oversee special education teachers, including managing their calendars, IEP planning, implementation, and quality control of SAI sessions.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Provide feedback to the special education team and leadership to improve efficiency and effectiveness.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Attend IEP meetings as needed for coverage or training.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Lead or participate in scheduled special education trainings and meetings.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><span>Collaboration:</span></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Collaborate with school leaders, teachers, and support staff to develop and implement strategies for improving compliance.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Work closely with the education team to address individual student needs and ensure the provision of appropriate services.</span></p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Promote inclusive education practices through collaboration with school administrators, teachers, and support staff.</span></p> </li> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Serve as a liaison between Trivium and parents, addressing concerns related to special education services.</span></p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><span>Budget Management:</span></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr"> <p dir="ltr"><span>Develop and manage the special education budget, ensuring effective and appropriate resource allocation.</span></p>
