Finance Associate (German - speaking)

Due to business expansion, with our client in the hospitality industry, we are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible person for the position of Finance Associate, with hands-on experience in bookkeeping and strong knowledge of German language.

Responsibilities:
  • Working in the field of accounting and finance
  • Operating within the Abacus accounting system with strong proficiency
  • Maintaining accounting records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Monitoring and controlling expenses and budgets
  • Posting incoming and outgoing invoices; calculating VAT and other tax liabilities
  • Reconciling open items with customers and vendor
  • Participating in the preparation of supporting financial documentation

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in similar roles
  • Educational background in accounting, finance, or banking
  • Experience working for international companies in German and English language
  • Experience with the Abacus accounting software and strong knowledge of its functionalities
  • Previous experience working in Swiss-based companies is a plus
  • High level of organization, responsibility, and proactiveness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in digital tools (Google Workspace, task management tools, CRM systems, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
