Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless customs clearance and compliance for international shipments. You will handle various import-related documentation, maintain accurate records, and work closely with internal teams, clients, and government agencies to deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities
As a Customs Trade Coordinator at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of critical responsibilities that keep our global operations running smoothly. Your duties will include:
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the customs clearance process. Maintain professionalism and patience in all interactions, representing arenaflex with distinction.
- Accurate Documentation Processing: Gather and verify the correct arrangement of goods for customs clearance from databases, standard operating procedures, duty books, websites, and customs regulations. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
- Data Entry and Documentation Management: Perform data entry and processing of various import-related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Handle allParticipating Government Agencies (PGAs) requirements with precision and attention to detail.
- Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in full compliance with all record-keeping requirements. Ensure adherence to international importing and exporting regulations, including customs laws, trade agreements, and industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other internal staff, departments, and arenaflex operations worldwide to deliver an elevated level of service to clients. Collaborate effectively with carriers, brokers, government agencies, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Brokerage Shipment Processing: Process company brokerage shipments efficiently, ensuring all required information is captured and documented accurately. Coordinate with brokerage teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Remote Filing Management: May handle remote filings for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and deadlines. Utilize appropriate systems and tools to submit electronic documentation.
- Policy and Procedure Adherence: Ensure all administrative and organizational policies are followed meticulously. Stay updated on changes in regulations and internal procedures to maintain compliance.
- Additional Duties: Perform other or additional duties as assigned by management. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges as the role evolves.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: High School Certificate or GED required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required for consideration.
- Experience: No prior industry experience is required – we welcome candidates who are eager to learn! A minimum of six months of work experience in any field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Data entry and keyboard experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential. Familiarity with office equipment including telephone, fax, scanner, printer, and copier is necessary.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, colleagues, and government agencies.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
