Position Overview
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Remote AWS Web Developer to join our dynamic Technology Operations (TechOps) team. This is a fully remote position that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States while contributing to meaningful projects that shape the future of cloud-based applications.
As an AWS Web Developer at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that power our innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Architecture and Innovation: Develop Proof-of-Concept (PoC) and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) tasks to validate new architectural approaches and innovative solutions that address complex business challenges.
- Full Stack Development: Write, grow, and maintain high-quality code across front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring seamless integration between client and server-side applications.
- Code Excellence: Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to fellow team members while maintaining our high standards of code quality.
- Requirements Analysis: Analyze user requirements to derive comprehensive software layouts and performance specifications that meet business objectives.
- Debugging and Maintenance: Debug existing software systems, identify defects, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Documentation Enhancement: Provide guidance for improving technical documentation and software development process standards across the organization.
- Software Design: Design and code new software programs or modify existing applications to incorporate innovative features that enhance user experience.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Complete programming tasks and perform thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure quality deliverables.
- Agile Development: Develop software packages and tools using Agile development methodologies, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and iterative development cycles.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Design, develop, and maintain web applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), leveraging our cloud-first architecture.
- Scalability Implementation: Implement scalable and fault-tolerant systems on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance under varying load conditions.
- AWS Services Utilization: Utilize AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront to build and deploy robust web applications.
- Performance Optimization: Work closely with the development team to ensure all applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug web applications and infrastructure issues, minimizing downtime and resolving incidents quickly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with different teams to improve the overall architecture and design of web applications.

Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following:
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience with web development and web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Django.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- AWS Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront is essential.
- Containerization Skills: Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
