Our team is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of our customers, and we are seeking like-minded individuals to join our mission. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provides exceptional customer service by greeting clients, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner * Registers transactions on assigned sales register, collects cash, and distributes change as required * Processes voids, returns, delays, discounts, and trades as necessary * Takes clients to the OTC walkway to assist with finding items * Maintains counters and retires clean and well-organized, takes stock, and keeps records * Checks in and costs stock as required or as directed by senior supervisor or shift leader * Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Director, Staff Pharmacist, and Senior Supervisor, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and medication data, ensuring data is accurate, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medication, confirming medication is correct, and checking for potential interactions * Reports, immediately, prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program * Audits and follows the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Governance guidelines * Rigorously adheres to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Honest Intentions Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities * Handles calls that do not require individual attention of the pharmacist, including those to doctors * Processes (revises and resubmits) manual claims for external program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other administrative duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Director * Assists and supports Pharmacy Division on stock management activities, such as ordering, unloading, checking, and storing shipments of medications * Maintains knowledge of Company resource security methods, and records claims for distribution center overages (stock received, but not charged), deficiencies (stock charged, but not received), order errors or damaged products including Rx medications * Ensures compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances (e.g., cocktails and tobacco products) * Builds and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, and special designs, and deal stock * Completes resets and corrections as directed * Assists with division of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as determined by strategies/methods (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves) * For consumable items, aids stock rotation, involving the first-in, first-out technique and restock outs * Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital identification photo service, banner print, and creative machine, and intriguing sell of special photo items * Takes on web pick-up responsibilities (screens orders in Picture Care, handles requests (pick items), and delivers requests to clients as they arrive at the store) * Assists with external and internal maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and well-organized store condition and appearance * Adheres to all company policies and procedures; maintains respectful relationships with colleagues * Completes special tasks and other duties as assigned **Preparation and Self-Improvement:** * Obtains and maintains PTCB certification through the assigned PTCB training program and state required certification/enrollment * Attends training and completes PPLs mentioned by Supervisor or assigned by corporate and secures continuing education credits * Maintains knowledge and expertise in healthcare and pharmacy, including the latest news and advancements **Essential Capabilities:** * Must be conversant in reading, writing, and communicating in English (except in Puerto Rico) * Expects willingness to work an adaptable schedule, including nights and weekend hours **Preferred Capabilities:** * Favor a half year of experience in a retail environment * Prefer to have earlier work experience with arenaflex * Prefer to have good numerical skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications * Prefer to have good computer skills * Prefer to have knowledge of store stock control * Prefer to have PTCB certification **What We Offer:** * Competitive hourly rate of $25 * Opportunities for career growth and professional development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for continuing education and training * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance **How to Apply:** If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
