**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conducts training for Specialists in areas of expertise
* Serves as a mentor to other Engineers
* Acts as a team leader/facilitator over project management or issue resolution
* Collaborates with manufacturers and regulatory specialists, as required, and ensures that Engineering practices are properly validated according to applicable regulations and Company manuals
* Develops customized methods and special procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, adjustments, and other maintenance activities that are not adequately addressed in existing manuals
* Stays informed about daily carrier activities, including areas of responsibility
* Reviews daily needs according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates
* Examines aircraft/part issues that may cause flight delays or cancellations, significant uses in labor or materials, or breaks in maintenance activities, and determines appropriate corrective actions
* Provides Engineering support as needed to restore operational status
* Responds to requests from Maintenance and other carrier divisions when technical support is required to assist tasks or resolve issues
* Develops activity plans for fleet/multi-fleet and part Engineering projects and pursues completion according to evaluated needs
* Collaborates with other carrier divisions, as necessary, to facilitate effective and efficient execution of Engineering practices
* Develops Engineering documents to implement technical practices by providing customized methods for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance activities that provide benefits according to aircraft/departmental targets and management mandates
* Maintains knowledge of current and forthcoming regulations that affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all Engineering activities maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
* Utilizes available resources to increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience continuously. Also, endeavors to improve communication skills, using time effectively and other personal characteristics relevant to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
* Effectively interacts with senior colleagues and management
**All you'll need for success:**
* Minimum Capabilities Training and Prior Professional experience
* Four-year degree in Engineering field or related Engineering license
* 1 year of Engineering experience in a related field or 2 years of experience without a degree
* Abilities, Licenses, and Certifications:
+ A&P license
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
+ Ability to analyze technical information and make data-driven decisions
+ Demonstrates fitness, ability, and willingness to take on new jobs and responsibilities
+ Ability to prepare/present presentations that promote acceptance of proposals
+ Ability to interact with internal and external clients effectively
