**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Gear Engineer to join our team and support our crew across all disciplines. As a key member of our team, you will identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and troubles in our development process and collaborate with our crew to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, and implement the selected answer. You will also be accountable for assisting, developing, and preserving arenaflex's proprietary engine-specific and custom gear that we use daily.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Proactively identify inefficiencies and elaborate areas in our development process across various disciplines
* Preserve, extend, and aid present development gear
* Build and guide custom asset pipelines
* Grow arenaflex's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures
* Collaborate with our crew to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, and implement the selected answer
* Assist in the adoption of the solution by the team
**Essential Qualifications**
* A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work
* Experience with the overall device lifecycle: identifying issues, comparing capacity answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness
* Enjoy working with custom standalone gear
* Enjoy growing gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines
* Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and Net Tech
* Ability to work efficiently in a self-directed environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with custom game engines
* Familiarity with Unreal or Unity
* Experience with JavaScript and Net Tech
* Familiarity with required utility materials
