**Job Summary**
We're seeking a talented Senior Gear Engineer to support our crew across all disciplines, leveraging their expertise to multiply our efforts, enhance crew performance, and help us create high-quality games. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with our Artwork, Layout, and Engineering groups to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and troubles in our development process. You'll work closely with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, implement the selected answer, and promote the adoption of the solution by the team.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Collaborate with the crew to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and troubles in our development process
* Work with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs, implement the selected answer, and promote the adoption of the solution by the team
* Assist, develop, and preserve arenaflex's present set of engine-specific and custom gear used daily
* Proactively identify inefficiencies and elaborate areas for improvement across all disciplines
* Preserve, extend, and aid present development gear
* Build and guide custom asset pipelines
* Grow arenaflex's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures
**Essential Qualifications**
* A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work
* Experience with the overall device lifecycle: identifying issues, comparing capacity answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness
* Enjoy working with custom standalone gear
* Enjoy growing gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines
* Proficiency in C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, and Net Tech
* Ability to work efficiently in a self-directed environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with custom game engines
* Familiarity with Unreal or Unity
* Experience with JavaScript and Net Tech
* Familiarity with required utility materials
