Join arenaflex's Cloud and Data Engineering Team
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Cloud and Data Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that involve designing, building, and deploying scalable and secure cloud-based systems. About the Role
As an Information Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining core features and components of our card exchange frameworks on a distributed platform. You'll work closely with senior architects and designers to design and develop high-performance code, and you'll be expected to lead by example, demonstrating a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and build distributed data processing and analytics frameworks
* Develop high-level and detailed designs of subsystems and features with a focus on performant code
* Collaborate with designers and engineers to build and code features, and participate in code reviews and other SDLC activities
* Develop proof-of-concepts to test new ideas and technologies
* Stay up-to-date with industry-leading innovations and solutions, and apply this knowledge to build low-latency distributed systems
* Lead a culture of experimentation and innovation, and participate in a results-oriented culture that encourages trying new ideas without fear of failure
* Collaborate with peer innovation and development teams across various areas
Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years of work experience in software development and design using Java or Scala
* Experience in data processing using Flash
* Knowledge of designing, implementing, and working with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Elasticsearch
* Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in distributed data processing and analytics using Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Flash
* Experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka
* Experience in building microservices and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
* Experience with cloud platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
* Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps frameworks
* Experience in architecting large-scale distributed data systems considering scalability, reliability, security, performance, and flexibility
* Strong understanding of different design patterns, stringing, and memory models supported by the language/VM
* Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to senior management
