We're looking for a talented Details Expert I to join our Details and Data Gathering team, working remotely in a part-time capacity.
**Position Overview**
As a Details Expert I, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for creating and maintaining accurate sports information across all arenaflex platforms, including television broadcasts, websites, and mobile apps. You'll work with automated data feeds and manual data entry to ensure the delivery of precise, timely, and engaging sports information to our global audience. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will help transform data into compelling storylines, making you an integral part of our storytelling process.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Ensure sports information disseminated by Details and Data is accurate, up-to-date, and insightful.
* Collaborate with colleagues to deliver precise, real-time data breakdowns, clock-and-score updates, and other metrics that power arenaflex's digital and television products.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Details and Data's role in fueling arenaflex's digital products and television productions.
* Conduct thorough reviews of your own work and that of others, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Contribute to the development of new projects, initiatives, and drives across the newsroom, supporting newsroom leaders in coordinating full- and part-time staff.
* Anticipate potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and propose effective solutions, communicating rapidly and clearly with colleagues on these matters.
* Play an active role in collaborating with colleagues to refine production processes.
* Participate in team and office meetings, seeking and responding to feedback on personal performance.
* Stay informed about current office policies and procedures.
**Required Capabilities**
* Working knowledge of sports teams, players, and game rules.
* Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to quickly learn production processes that generate or maintain sports information for arenaflex's digital and television products.
* Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production environments.
* Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, with production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
**Preferred Capabilities**
* 1+ years of experience in sports or analytics, preferably in media.
* Understanding of how sports information is used in media and research contexts.
* Familiarity with arenaflex products and productions.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
* Experience leading or training a team.
* Ability to communicate in Spanish.
* Experience incorporating social media in a business or news context.
**Required Education**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
**Preferred Education**
* Professional certification or equivalent.
