**Why you'll love this role**
• This position is part of our Operations Execution and Analysis team at arenaflex.
• This role will be a key analytical and decision support asset for Operations Execution and Analysis and other business capabilities.
• This position will also be instrumental in maintaining a strong organization with Schedule and Operations Planning teams.
**What you'll do**
• Work on operational execution of the airline by creating advanced analytical solutions for complex business issues using quantitative methods and models.
• Develop and maintain decision support models using simulation as well as statistical techniques.
• Assist with the flight schedule development, planning, and assessment process by creating quantitative tools that address operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support the organization's long-term key and growth drivers through simulation modeling and other related analysis.
• Develop and maintain quantitative models to assess, recommend, and promote operational efficiencies within the airport, airspace, and ATC conditions.
• Collaborate closely with partners across the organization and advance data-driven decision making.
• Research current practices and industry trends, develop recommendations for improvement, test innovative ideas, and help the specialty unit with implementation. Benchmark arenaflex's performance versus other airlines and industries.
• Interact with IT departments, related business offices, and external vendors to ensure coordinated planning, assessment, and execution of new decision support systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in scientific procedures and IT solutions that address complex airline business issues.
**All you'll need for success**
**Minimum Qualifications**
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (Operations Research, Analysis, Modern Design, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field).
• In-depth knowledge and solid foundation in at least one of the following specific areas:
+ Advanced optimization modeling techniques (LPs, MIPs, etc.) and experience building large-scale models using FICO Xpress, ILOG CPLEX, or similar.
+ Building simulation models using AirTOP, SIMMOD, Field, SIMIO, or similar.
+ Statistical and AI procedures and experience applying predictive analysis to practical business issues.
+ Solid foundation in programming and modeling languages (Java and SAS, R, or Python).
+ Experience with data extraction, cleaning, and analysis of large datasets to identify key patterns and insights.
+ Experience using data visualization software (Tableau or similar) to investigate and analyze data.
+ Excellent communication, social, and interpersonal skills (both oral and written).
**Preferred Qualifications**
• Postgraduate education (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative discipline (Operations Research, Analysis, Modern Design, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field).
• Industry knowledge in the airline business or other transportation-related field.
• Knowledge of Big Data approach, technology, and related data querying tools.
**Skills, Licenses, and Certifications**
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SQL, and so on.
• Strong business acumen, technical learning/development outlook, and a drive for results.
• Demonstrated ability to perform both independently and as a team member, handle multiple tasks, and respond effectively to changing needs.
