**Job Summary**
As an Information Expert II, you'll be responsible for researching, gathering, and analyzing customer data to provide actionable insights. You'll work closely with our business and item partners to tackle complex business challenges and identify patterns and opportunities. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our products and driving business decisions, making you a key contributor to our Information Adventures/Information Improvement group.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Research and gather customer data to provide actionable insights
* Collaborate with business and item partners to tackle complex business challenges and identify patterns and opportunities
* Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data visualization to provide meaningful insights
* Define and assess key performance indicators for new product launches
* Create data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of product drives and novel business challenges
* Identify new opportunities to improve key financial metrics, understanding the drivers of change in metrics
* Conduct exploratory data analysis, including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and data modeling
* Work with data stewards and data engineering teams to collect and handle accurate data from various sources
* Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
**Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics, or business)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
* Experience with languages used to control data and extract insights from large datasets (e.g., SQL, Python, Presto)
* Strong narrative experience with data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
* Experience with data quality tools like Google DataPlex (Collibra Information Quality or SAS Information Management or IBM InfoSphere Data Server)
* Experience with quality testing using Selenium, Cucumber, or Tosca
* Experience in building multi-step ETL jobs/data pipelines and working with workflow management systems
* Experience working with complex data on cloud platforms (ideally Google Bigquery and Hive)
* Experience working on Data Modeling (E-R) and having a solid BI mindset
* Basic understanding of statistics and AI models
* Prior experience in the retail or financial services industries
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
* Comfortable with changing needs in a fast-paced environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with data visualization tools like D3.js, Matplotlib, or Seaborn
* Experience with machine learning algorithms and models
* Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or AWS Glue
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms like Amazon Redshift, Google Bigquery, or Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics
* Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks like Data Governance, Data Quality, or Information Management
