Job Summary As a Customer Service and Sales Associate at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in driving sales growth and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to help them find the perfect products for their projects. You'll work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to maintain a safe, clean, and shop-able environment, and ensure that our customers receive the best possible service. Key Responsibilities - Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to help them find the perfect products for their projects. - Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project. - Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments. - Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe. - Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty. - Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments. - Participate in sales promotions, events, and initiatives to drive sales growth and customer engagement. - Develop strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to build a positive and inclusive work environment. Essential Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. - 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or home improvement environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues. - Strong product knowledge and ability to learn about new products and services. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. - Basic math skills and ability to handle cash, operate a point-of-sale system, and process transactions accurately. - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move freely throughout the store. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a sales or customer service role in a home improvement or retail environment. - Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. - Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory management, and sales analytics. - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
