The Studio Exploration and Analysis team at arenaflex is currently seeking a dedicated and innovative Data Analyst to support our dynamic Product, Marketing, and Content Curation teams. In this role, you will work closely with our Streaming Platform Product teams, conducting insightful analysis and orchestrating complex datasets. You'll be instrumental in supporting both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives that directly impact how arenaflex serves its global audience. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable strategic recommendations.
What You'll Do
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be at the heart of our consumer insights engine. Your contributions will directly influence product strategy, content decisions, and marketing initiatives across our streaming platforms. Here's what you can expect:
- Research & Analysis Support: Assist with a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection, mapping, extraction, and analysis from multiple sources to build comprehensive summaries, tables, and report segments.
- Data Integration: Join dissimilar datasets using SQL to support the daily operations of our consumer experience tracking projects. You'll create unified views that provide complete pictures for business stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to conduct research, including communicating project goals, business requirements, and timelines to efficiently prioritize, optimize, and enhance our datasets.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with research partners within the team and from different departments, as well as external vendors and consultants.
- Reporting & Insights: Analyze and prepare ongoing and ad-hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various groups within product marketing, engagement, and product strategy.
- Project Management: Manage allocated projects, execute quality assurance processes, and report tasks and status to supervisors to ensure completion within established timelines.
- Strategic Partnership: Work with senior team members to ensure that each deliverable is strategically meaningful and drives key decision-making processes.
- Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with the team and analysis groups within Snowflake and Databricks environments to maintain robust data infrastructure.
- Documentation: Maintain both exceptional verbal and written knowledge of data elements and requirements to ensure clarity across all stakeholders.
- Critical Thinking: Respond to critical data requests from internal clients with speed and accuracy.
- Presentation & Communication: Support the presentation of findings based on research conducted and contribute to related business discussions.
- Industry Awareness: Stay at the forefront of SVOD and In-Home industry trends amid a constantly evolving landscape.
Work Environment
This position follows a hybrid work model designed to foster collaboration and flexibility. You'll join us for in-person collaboration from Monday through Thursday, benefiting from face-to-face teamwork and spontaneous interactions that drive innovation. On Fridays, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely, allowing for focused individual work and better work-life balance.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in data analysis and a passion for the streaming/entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will bring:
- SQL Expertise: Proficiency with SQL, including the ability to extract and join dissimilar data sources to develop rich, complete pictures for the business.
- Data Extraction Skills: The ability to extract data and join with different data sources to create comprehensive analytical views.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical abilities to interpret complex datasets.
- Adaptability: Capacity to work quickly and efficiently in a high-speed, dynamic environment.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations.
- Multitasking: Strong multitasking capabilities and the readiness to work effectively in an environment of tight deadlines and constant change.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out:
- Experience with data processing tools such as SPSS, Q, or MarketSight.
- Proficiency with survey tools including Translate, Qualtrics, or SurveyMonkey.
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or STATA.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Statistical Research, Statistics, or a related field.
- Background in quantitative research, either provider-side or client-side.
- Experience analyzing survey data to extract meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with subscription-based business models and strategy.
