Within the Studio Research and Analysis team, we serve as the analytical backbone for arenaflex's direct-to-consumer experience. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to support our Disney+ Product, Marketing and Content Curation, and In-Home Advertising and Distribution teams. Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Administrator, you will work closely with the Disney+ Product teams to analyze and integrate data, providing support for both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives. This role focuses primarily on Disney+ Product and Consumer Experience tracking programs, offering you the chance to make a significant impact on one of the world's leading streaming platforms.
This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-person collaboration from Monday through Thursday, with remote work available on Fridays. This balanced approach allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds – collaborative team environments and flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities that contribute to our data-driven culture:
- Research Support: Assist with a broad spectrum of qualitative and quantitative research activities, including data collection and mapping, as well as extraction and analysis from multiple sources to build charts, tables, and report segments.
- Data Integration: Join diverse datasets using SQL to support the daily operations of the Disney+ client experience tracking project, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside various teams to conduct research across the organization, effectively communicating project objectives, business requirements, and timelines to prioritize, develop, and enhance our datasets.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with research partners within the team and from other departments, as well as external vendors, fostering a network of collaboration.
- Reporting and Analysis: Analyze and create ongoing and ad-hoc reports using quantitative and qualitative data for various groups within Disney+ product marketing, engagement, and product strategy, as well as the Disney Streaming Pack.
- Project Management: Manage assigned projects, implement quality assurance processes, and report task assignments and status to supervisors to ensure completion within established timelines.
- Strategic Alignment: Work with the Senior Administrator and team to ensure that every deliverable is strategically meaningful and drives informed decision-making.
- Platform Collaboration: Collaborate with the team and analytics groups within Snowflake and Databricks environments to leverage cutting-edge technology.
- Documentation: Maintain exceptional verbal and written knowledge of data elements and requirements, ensuring clarity across all stakeholders.
- Critical Data Response: Respond to critical data requests from internal clients with accuracy and timeliness.
- Insight Presentation: Support the presentation of findings based on conducted analysis and contribute to related business discussions.
- Industry Awareness: Stay at the forefront of SVOD and In-Home industry trends amid an ever-evolving landscape, bringing fresh perspectives to the team.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related field, combined with 3 years of relevant work experience, OR
- Graduate degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Data Sciences, or a related field, combined with 1 year of relevant work experience.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with SQL, including the ability to query and merge disparate data sources to create comprehensive analytical views.
- Strong ability to extract data and join with different data sources to develop a rich, complete picture for the business.
- Solid quantitative reasoning and analytical capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Professional Competencies
- Capacity to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to create clear and concise visual presentations.
- Strong multitasking abilities and the readiness to work effectively under tight deadlines while adapting to constant change.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Proficiency in data processing tools such as SPSS, Q, or MarketSight.
- Experience with survey tools including Interpret, Qualtrics, or SurveyMonkey.
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar systems.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as R, Python, SAS, or STATA.
- Advanced degree in Market Research or Statistics.
- Quantitative research background, either provider-side or client-side.
- Experience analyzing survey data to extract meaningful insights.
- Experience with subscription-based business models and strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
We recognize that our employees are our greatest asset, which is why we offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation package:
- Annual Salary: The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $93,400 to $125,200 per year. The exact base salary offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location, work-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
