DCH is hiring Nurse Surveyors!
The Healthcare Facility Regulation Division (HFRD) is looking for Nurse Surveyors to help inspect healthcare facilities for rules and regulations compliance. 
Learn more in our campaign video. Minimum requirements include being a Registered Professional Nurse, OR having a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from accredited college or university, AND 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

DCH is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Compliance Nurse 2, Long-Term Care Complaint Unit with the Healthcare Facility Regulation Division. This is a homebased position that will document and conduct on-site surveys and require regional travel. Regional travel may require up to 90% overnight travel. Occasional weekend and after-hours work may also be required.

If you reside in the counties listed below, you are eligible for a 15% geographic pay supplement. Please note, this supplement is applicable to positions that are in long-term care units.

Position Duties

The Compliance Nurse 2 for the LTC Complaints Unit, under general to limited supervision, conducts on-site surveys of long-term care facilities regulated by the state to determine compliance with applicable state and/or federal rules and regulations. This position may be asked to survey other facility types as needed. Surveys are conducted either independently or as a part of a multi-disciplinary team using both an automated and a written survey process to review the quality of nursing care delivered in federal and state long term care facilities (i.e., nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities). Additionally, this position performs the following job duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, two (2) years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or position equivalent, two (2) years of which in an environment related to the area of assignment, four (4) years of which as a supervisor and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.

Note: This position requires an active Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) Certification. Only applications from candidates that meet this requirement will be considered for this position.

Note: Some positions may require a certification or licensure. Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license, which would enable the applicant to drive in Georgia, and use of a car at work, are required for employees in this job. Position requires extensive statewide and overnight travel (90%). Occasional weekend and after-hours work may also be required.
