Responsibilities:
- Contact clients via phone, email, regarding past due accounts
- Maintain detailed records of all collection activity
- Follow up on accounts to ensure collection efforts have been satisfactory
- Educate debtors on their obligations and options
- Meet or exceed weekly performance targets
- Handle sensitive consumer information with confidentiality and professionalism
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Previous experience in collections, customer service, or call center environment (1-2 years preferred)
- Highly proficient in English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to actively listen and document client correspondence
- Basic math and accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in using computer systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Outlook)
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism under tense interactions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work 8am-5pm EST
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (preferred but not required)
